Cohen around the languages

Hello to every body my name is Rodrigo Gallardo I live in Chile, the southern place of the world and my native language is Spanish, that’s why I apologize to you for my writhing.

I meet Leonard Cohen during one of my trip to Madrid in the middle of the hottest night of my life. The plane who suppose to be ready for my return to chile wasn’t there so they send my to a fancy hotel to manage my rage and frustration. During that night between all the porn and reality show on TV I find "I’m you Man 2005" and at the first moment I thought its just another concert of some unknown singer.

My humour that night was terrible because my life wasn’t the way that I want to be, been part of the whirlpool of productive world, working into the technical part of the human sense. That night I asked my self "what have I done with my life? is this the way how I want to live it? Where is the magic of simplicity? What’s the secret of the word?"

I was lost in the middle of my cerebrals hemispheres, between "human productivity and the magic side of human soul" quoting Heidegger, between the Technical and the Meditative. I was so near to cry for my self and for the whole world on is present state and suddenly I hear that phrase of "Anthen" "there is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in". That was the phrase who left to release my crying. The phrase that opened my heart to everything who I was keeping into my unreleased emotions.
I was making my self so hard, cold and unconscious about the simplicity of life of my capacity to longing. This day my life change again and I realized that I was recovering some part of me that was lost since I was a Child. Cohen didn´t save my life, it was me who do that, but he put in front of my eyes a truth who was roving inside of me for a long time.

I came for the land of Neruda and Mistral (chilean nobel price), his poem "Nº 20" and her poem "litle child’s foot bluish of cold". Then I remembered my love for poetry and word, and I looked my two hand and said to my self "you are a secret poet (as Neruda said once) "every one of us got a secret poet into our souls" So I started writing every word who I got inside of me and I remembered that "the language generate reality". So I realized that I’m able to change my reality by the word and is magic.

Do I think that Leonard Cohen is a genius? Yes and No, he shows us that time, emotion and patience are the key to poetry and at the same time that poetry is the key to make our self better person, more sensitive and more human, forgetting our possession and our wish for gold and fame. Cohen is a genius because he shows us his sensibility and his humble capacity to capture the essence of the life and he is not a genius at all, just because we all can get that capacity to capture that essence just like him. Every one of us are made of star dust and our hydrogen molecule are ancient as the universe it self. In that way Cohen is one of the thousand pilgrims who open paths for us, "the simple human been".

I'm glad you found Leonard and eventually found us. Yes. That line is so profound, isn't it? No apologies are needed for your writing, even if it weren't as easily understandable as it actually is.
