The following review appears on page 344 of Channel 4's Teletext music section today.
I'll leave everyone else to comment on the writer's errors....!
Anjani: Blue Alert
Leonard Cohen produces and co-writes the debut solo album by his long-time backing singer, who was first heard on Hallelujah.
Cohen operates on a thin line between minimalism and tedium which, with these soft jazz arrangements, takes Anjani close to Norah Jones land.
Her precise, unfussy vocals waltz over the bland tunes with some skill, but the explicit lyrics merely resemble Madeleine Peyroux on heat.
Rating: 6 out of 10.
Reviewer: John Earls.
