your perfect concert
your perfect concert
if you could attend your perfect concert - performances by musicians past and/or present, what would be the line up and what music would they perform ?
Failing being able to go back in time and hear Leonard singing his own songs, I would settle for a concert of Show of Hands singing Leonard Cohen covers. Provided that they learn the 'proper' version of First We Take Manhattan, not the Jennifer Warnes version that they currently sing.
Edit: I would let them do some Dylan tracks as well.

Re: your perfect concert
This is a really difficult question ...
I would like to see Janis Joplin because she had such a passionate way of singing and such an electrifying voice . Also , The Who would be on the top of the list , or maybe only Townshed , though Daltery was ( i'm not sure wether he still is ) as interesting to see . Of course , Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen , both of them some thirty years ago . I would much enjoy to see The Dubliners , or The Pogues ... no , better The Dubliners , 'cause I've always liked , tough never experienced , the atmosphere irish folk bands and irish people in general can create . Sinead O'Connor has some magnetic performances . A Frank Zappa or Tom Waits concert would blow me off . And of course , I would apreciate some good old classical rock bands like Led Zep , Queen , Pink Floyd , Rolling Stones ( but , wait , I am going to a Rolling Stones concert this summer ... ahhh , I can't wait )
Of course there would be many more ... but this are the ones that first came to my mind .
