I've enjoyed your well-crafted writing on the forum, and our conversations that always seem to take place at train stations.
Happy Birthday!
Andrew.

Oh my, I hope this comes through as still being May 14 on GMT time! Well, if not, it's definitely still May 14 here!
So, that said, Happy Birthday, Tom, my dear friend

!!! I really, really, really hope you have a wonderful and sane birthday! You can tell me about it in Berlin....maybe even show me the pictures

!
You've brought so much sensitivity and intelligence to the Forum. I really appreciate your presence.
[Now, I need to check out of here, so I can call my former husband and wish him the same ~ as you recall, you two share the day

.]
Love,
Your friend,
Elizabeth

This LCohen quote for you tom.d.stiller on your birthday!
"Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. "

Thank you all.
my hair is on a diet
growing thin and thinner
my summer beard is almost winter white
my bones are aching
kneecaps hurting (i avoid
staircases like incarnate devil)
and all i long for is the deep blue sea
with white crest for a beard
and the shoreline growing thin and thinner
when the sun sets the horizon
on fire in a red alert reminding of youth
and the only thing hurting is to see
the traces of my steps disappear
in the flood of my 46 years
I really seem to spend too much time on stations & trains...

Dear Tom,
At least you put all that travelling time to good use. Writing poetry. You poor,
old man!
Happy birthday!
Linda.
