Hi ,
I noticed this on Expecting Rain today :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2U1R-k ... el=Forward
Allow me a memory at this point. On Denise's twitter site there is a link to Richard Manuel's archive site which looks great. It brought me back to early 1986 - I was at the final The Band gig in New York before Richard died. It was held in The Lone Star Cafe, then at Broadway and 15th Street (approx). The four members plus I think Blondie Chaplin.
I can see Richard sliding down the bannisters, a wide smile, an equally wide-collared shirt. A great night, wonderful musicianship, vocals.
May you rest in peace Richard. And Rick, Levon. Continued good health to Garth and Robbie.
Enough , you are saying.
All the best,
merton
