Because I am in a strange mood I am gonna tell you a joke.
Two pieces of black tarmac went into a pub and ordered a pint.
They were sitting there minding their own business and having a chat when in walks a piece of green tarmac.
The green tarmac walks over to the bar and punches the barman. He wrecks the pub and causes chaos. One of the black tarmac walked over to him to try and calm him down but to no avail. His mate taps he on the shoulder and says:
you'll like this
but not a lot
"Leave him alone can't you see he's a cycle path"

You're right, I did like it

, but it's hard to put a degree on it. Someone had to stay up very late to come up with that one.

in the spirit of having fun with jokes, i've got a riddle for ya. try to solve this one: when asked this riddle, 80% of kindergarten kids got the answer, compared to 17% of stanford university seniors.
"what is greater than god, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it, and if you eat it, you'll die?"
now, i may not agree wholeheartedly with the answer, which is probably why i didn't get it myself at first, but you can all be the judge of that.

That was a good one Elizabeth and did you hear their album, "Tales of the Giant Rat of Sumatra ?" It was Sherlock Holmes type parady...very clever. There was a comedy group out of San Francisco in the late 60's called The Congress of Wonders and they were absolutely brilliant. Anybody heard of them?

no, no Paula. I was giving the answer to Teratogen's riddle!

No, I didn't hear that one, or not that I'm aware of, anyway....though, during those times, who'd know the difference

? "Electrician" may just have been an easier title for me to remember

. Actually, I think I may still have the album. Just nothing to play it on [at the moment]. Never heard of The Congress of Wonders. Their name suggests that they were very funny.

Switch, BB, that was watching attentively, asked me to tell you this.
"The riddle has been around for a long time, but there is no evidence that research was ever conducted on the comparative answers of Kindergartners and Stanford University seniors.
There is also no evidence that this was reported on Paul Harvey."
I don't give the link to the site, 'cause the answer is on it. It is on this thread also but... ey!
It is more a e-rumor this thing.
Paula, since you gave this example of a fight in a pub (in another thread), this remind me of this page, that I resisted to bring it here, but this time, I cannot, please ask to one of your friends to translate it. Too funny, You'l love it!

Two peanuts walked into a bar in a dodgy part of town.
One of them was assaulted.
