I dreamed of Leonard last night in my bed
I said to him: "Leonard you're not very dead"

At first he sat beside me, very close, he spoke and spoke
then sometimes he would stand; I saw him as a holy man

He recited on and on but never sang a song
I listened and I loved each and every word I heard

A river flowed from his mind filling mine
I was inundated, satisfied, sated

I felt I was a fortunate man holding the world in my hand
Leonard's presence was a gift, and I delighted in it
