Hello James,
It has been mentioned, in the Live in London thread. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=30838
Also, Field Commander Cohen will be released on vinyl: http://drhguy.com/2014/04/22/field-comm ... ne-9-2014/

Re: Live in London 3LP set?
Thanks, sorry for the duplicate post in that case! I guess I've fallen a bit behind, great to hear about FCC!
Re: Live in London 3LP set?
I would definitely go for Field Commander Cohen on vinyl! I think it's one of the greatest albums and an essential because his live performances outdo the studio versions on Recent Songs. Will it be available from UK retailers?
Re: Live in London 3LP set?
The FCC record is far too expensive for a double LP. I understand a triple package being more expensive, although I still think that is a bit pricey too. Is the only place I can get this in the uk via amazon?
I am going to Brussels in a couple of months, so I might just pop into mediamarkt to see what they're charging. I got most of my recent LC represses there and rarely over €12, so hopefully these will both be as least a bit lower than the amazon prices.

Good luck but these days vinyl is a specialist market and always more expensive than other formats . Only worth it for those who still love the sound of vinyl and have a good turntable !James T wrote:The FCC record is far too expensive for a double LP. Given that- it's being offered for £26 on amazon uk which seems reasonable for good quality and new vinyl
I was lucky enough to get a copy of live in fredericton which was only released on vinyl and then as a very limited release . Must admit it sounds good
Leonard's work resonates

Re: Live in London 3LP set?
I too have the live in Fredericton LP, which for me was not too bad in terms of price given it was a record store day ltd release. I have bought triple LP packages much more elaborately packaged and some even with special etched 6th sides and stuff like that, and many cost less than this and were pressed in smaller quantities. I buy all my music on vinyl, and spend a lot each month on it, but these are more expensive than plenty of vinyl which I know costs more to produce and distribute.
If it is now prices at £26 that isn't too bad, but it was £31 when I checked (for field commander...).

Re: Live in London 3LP set?
I see other retailers are selling at a lower price as you mentioned, but using amazon marketplace. Not the lowest prices still, but certainly what I've come to expect of musiconvinyl, and a more reasonable price for sure.
