Thought you might like to know that Leonard will be the first track played on new global radio station Planet Earth Radio which launches Monday at 4pm UK time (11am EST, 8am PST)

And his record will be introduced by the first man to walk on the moon.

You can hear it here at the above times:

Dear Planet Earth Radio

Great Launch! However, maybe a slight correction - Eugene Cernan (great to hear his dulcet tones) was, I believe, the last person to stand on the Moon and not the first!

Wonderful choice of launch track.

I dunno, Athnuchan, sounds pretty cool to me. And I don't see that Leonard had anything to do with it.

What Neophyte said... I don't think artists have anything to do with radio play. And isn't it Sony that owns the rights to this material now?

Lasted five minutes listening to this drivel. What complete utter tosh. Quite sure Leonard wouldn't want his music to be associated with this nonesense. Not that he would have had a choice as other posters have indicated.

That would depend on which song, Helen.

My understanding was that She Who Must Not Be Named sold the entire back catalog to Sony. I'd assume Mr. Cohen would own the rights to Old Ideas though.

Right, Helen... since I didn't see what song it was, I said that. :)
