I couldn't put it better Les. I was right there with you all too. A bitter sweet experience as I so wanted to join you for real ....

Maybe in 2015 ....

Thank you Jarkko and Eija

What an incredible array of BEAUTIFUL photos, so many of which are contest worthy, Eija! The ways you frame and focus are wonderful. I love seeing all the new scenes and backdrops from your side trips and, perhaps, another route to a monastery... and I have so many questions that I wish we were viewing these on your laptop, so I could ask questions and comments on the spot. The lighting beneath the awnings of the harbour made me want to go find a seat and have a Mythos. And then there's one where the hillside looks on fire, but then I saw it was only the lighting. And the donkey carrying the mountain goats!?! PLURAL!?! And your cameo of the baby one! The frog and the dog sculptures ~ incredible! Thank you to whoever took your camera so they could capture photos of you and Jarkko together :D . And, finally [here, but not in my mind of all that I COULD say], the kitten with his lifted paw waving goodbye ~ your sense of humour 8) . So many Many MANY of these I wanted to comment on and that urged me to say I want to go back to Hydra!!!

For now, thank you so much for your commitment and excellence!!! Such a joy to go through these and think and feel and remember and wish and hope for the future.

Love to you both,
Lizzy

I am so grateful to Jarkko and Eija and all that you both do, so generously and modestly, year after year, for all of us. I am also indebted to the gracious generosity of all the Greeks on Hydra who host year after year.

AND I wish to pay tribute to some other generous souls, namely our spirited musicians Claudia and Henning, who prepare, practice and perform tirelessly, so we can sing; and to Maarten, our flag-bearer, and his parents, for preparing, carrying and then giving away the lyrics books.

This slide show is for you, with gratitude for joys shared:

Until next time,

Oh, WONDERFUL, Jarkko! Thanks so much :D

And ~ YES ~ seeing Anne's posting reminds me that I meant to comment on how Maarten, and his Mom and Dad, brought the infamous Unified Hearts running flag, so everyone could see it in person... and then held it out so beautifully for photo taking!
