Interesting background info about the curfew for the O2 in London:

'It is simply a contractual issue between AEG and the artist involved, as there is no requirement for performances to finish by 11pm.
[...]
We take any complaints made in relation to the venue very seriously, but it is an urban myth to suggest that we have ever levied a fine in relation to a performance there.'

HARTMUT can you confirm if you have some connection to the O2 or AEG so I know if your post is authoritative or not. Last year I remember a lot of people posting about curfews and Leonard's "disappointment about having to end gigs before he wanted to. I recall posting that if he wants 4 hours and wants to end by 11 that he simply has to start at 7. Thats not rocket science and anyone can achieve whatever result they want within if sufficient or in this case very little thought is applied.

Of course I have no connection to the O2. - If you follow the link I provided you can check the source of the information. And it's up to you whether you deem it authoritative.

Interesting .
The source said said to be a 'Royal Borough of Greenwich spokesperson'

Not sure if this means that leonard could play on and on - the o2 is a venue where a curfew makes sense because of travel issues .

PS - would shed no tears over justin bieber geting a hefty fine

That's true. - The last tube towards Stanmore leaves at 00:17. - Or he has to play a lot longer so that we can take the first tube of the next day at 05:23.

But apparently there are also '24 hour bus services'. - And I would assume they employ additional trains or busses after an event at the O2? Can anybody confirm this?

Interesting, Hartmut. I wonder if that person was informed correctly. There are some reports on the net stating otherwise. As far as I know curfews are set by city councils.

Here is one report regarding this December's show by the Rolling Stones which mentions an 11 pm curfew.

http://metro.co.uk/2012/11/27/the-rolli ... ew-548925/

And another one from the Telegraph about several venues but also mentioning a strict 11 pm curfew at the O2 that made Lady Gaga pay fines.

Please proof me wrong because I would love Leonard to play at the O2 until that first tube runs again in the morning. 8)

11 seems to be written in stone regards end times for gigs. its more id say a transport issue. also 20,000 people aint all gonna get on the few night buses that would run after 11. ive been in the o2 on several occasions most recently for girls aloud and ive never been there for a gig that went past 11. in 09 i seen britney on a night when their was a tube strike and trust me you dont want to be stranded out there with no tubes. i was lucky in that the jubilee line took me to a tube station just beside the thames but i then had to hop a bus and then a taxi to get to my hotel. i can honestly say if not for britney being amazing it would not have been worth it. 40+ pounds extra it cost me. now do you want concerts going past 11.
