JOHANNESBURG. – Die sanger van “Halleluja”, “So long, Marianne” en “Famous blue raincoat” gaan waarskynlik eersdaags op verhoë in Suid-Afrika te sien wees.
Attie van Wyk, Big Concerts se eienaar, het gister op RSG se Tjailatyd gesê hy onderhandel met Leonard Cohen se agent oor kon¬sertdatums vir April volgende jaar.
“Ek is baie positief dat die toer binnekort bevestig sal word, maar in dié stadium kan ek dit nie 100% bevestig voor die kontrak onderteken is nie...Watch this space,” het Van Wyk per e-pos gesê.
John Langford, Big Concerts se bedryfshoof, het gesê dit lyk waarskynlik dat ’n toer ’n werklikheid sal word.
Die 78-jarige sanger is tans op sy Old Ideas-wêreldtoer.

The singer of "Hallelujah", "So long, Marianne" and "Famous blue raincoat" will probably soon be seen on stages in South Africa.
Attie van Wyk, Big Concerts' owner, on RSG's Tjailatyd said yesterday he talks with Leonard Cohen's agent April could ¬ sertdatums for next year.
"I am very confident that the tour will be confirmed shortly, but at this stage I can not 100% confirmed before the contract was signed ... Watch this space," said Van Wyk email.
John Langford, Big Concerts chief operating officer, said it seems likely that a tour will be a reality.
Encouraging news for everybody in the southern hemisphere!

Encouraging news for everybody in the southern hemisphere!
I am leaving tomorrow to see him in Barcelona next Wednesday.
It would be beyond fantastic to see him in Cape Town!!

Tripping, baie dankie vir die berig. As dit realiseer is dit so goed as 'n wonderwerk!
Ek sal daar wees, maak nie saak wat dit kos of hoe ver ek moet reis nie - dit sal 800km Kaapstad toe wees en baie verder Johannesburg toe vanaf Namibië.
As ek maar één keer vir Leonard Cohen kan sien sal my lewensreis volmaak wees.

That would be absolutely fantastic
I travelled to Dublin to see him but would be there to see him at Johannesburg or Cape Town
