hello, I wonder if anyone can help me please. i remember seeing a book by LC, the cover was orange, it was very thick and the first part had poems and the other part had some books, or a book, I never had it long enough to get to that part. i would dearly love to find that book again and wondered if anyone knows what it was. I know it was a bit of a long shot, but someone may know. this was about 1996 that i has site of it. Thank you.

Totally different topic but the heading suits ! I never bothered with an avatar before, but seeing Maarten's lovely design for name tags I thought the avatar looked good on it, and decided to acquire one. No go! I have a suitably small photo selected, but when I click "open" everything disappears and nothing happens ! No sign of "upload".

Tried "drag and drop" which has worked on other sites, but no. Seeing that so many of you have successfully acquired avatars, could someone please help? Can't find anything about in FAQ .

Thanks Maarten,
Can't find that in either email or pm. Don't know why, but thanks for trying ! You have more than enough to do and I shouldn't be bothering you with it. Lots of avatar owners out there must remember how they got it ! I would happily select something from Gallery for convenience, but that just shows empty as "none".
Best wishes,
Ann

Ann,
Strange: I just checked and I have sent you an email... I will forward it again. Meanwhile, here's what I wrote about the avatar issue:
--------------------
About your avatar: I prefer people having an avatar on the forum, that makes them easier to recognize when they make a post. I see you haven't got one yourself, do you need any help?
Here's how to upload your avatar:
- go to the "User Control Panel" (left upper corner, underneath "Board index")
- click on "Profile" (second item)
- choose "Edit avatar"
- if you have the image for your avatar on your local computer, choose "Upload from local machine" and "Browse"
- finally: don't forget to click "Submit" below
In case you're having trouble with the dimensions or pixels of your avatar, send the original image to me and I'll edit it for you, no problem.
--------------------
Take care and see you soon!
Maarten
