Elvis Costello on the prospect of Leonard Cohen appearing on his interview series,
Spectacle.
I remember going to see Leonard Cohen (in concert) and thinking, `He’ll never be on Spectacle because he doesn’t need to do it.’ He need never do another interview for anybody, because the show is perfect, the most perfect show I think I’ve ever seen. Everything is explained to the degree that I think is appropriate, anything else I feel would be an intrusion into his life that I wouldn’t want to make.

AWESOME!!! We all knew it was perfect, but Costello is a trained professional! I can't think of a person I would rather see interview Leonard. Well, except for me. and you. or another true fan/forum member.

I got notice last week about the new Spectacle lineup and before I looked at the names I hoped beyond hope that I might see the name "Leonard Cohen." No such luck.

elvis costello is on this afternoon's richard bacon show on bbc radio 5.
no doubt some or all of elvis's appearance will turn up on the main radio 5 web site in due course.
