Wow, exciting for Oakland. But, I honestly cringe every time I see a new show added. I wish the pace of this tour could be a bit kinder and gentler to all involved. Everyone must be getting just worn out. Let's hope our energy can sustain them all!

KaimiK, I have to admit i am also a bit concerned about the toll extra concerts can take on one.
That only gives one day to travel to Indio then do the Coachella concert. But i guess all concerned
think that's okay.

As wonderful as the Paramount is for atmosphere, sound, etc, I kind of wonder why they didn't book him into an arena for one night instead of a smaller venue for 3 nights. Certainly he would sell out the Oakland Arena or similar. Doesn't AEG know this by now? Not that I'm really complaining...the Paramount will be wonderfully intimate, and I'm sure the band likes it that way too. 3 nights in a row has GOT to be taxing on all of them though, and then no rest between Oakland and LA...

I said the same thing elsewhere. Saw him at the O2 in Berlin (a huge arena) and the show was fabulous.

I agree I too have been worried about how gruelling all the touring must be, but I read an interview with Leonard recently where he sounded quite cheerful about it, "100 shows down, 100 to go, bring them on" or something to that effect. Clearly touring took its toll before but now he does seem to be enjoying it. He doesn't seem to do two shows back to back unless they are in the same location. I read somewhere else that he said being in the monastery taught him to have a routine and that being on tour was a routine but also varied by the show, the venue etc each night.
I don't think it would suit me, I would want to see something of the places I was visiting, but my husband, who used to be a professional athlete, said it suited him fine. His personal manager took care of the admin, he just relied on them to deliver him to the start line and do his stuff. Leonard also said he preferred 3 hour shows, with a proper set up time and a beginning a middle and an end, in venues where you can build a relationship with your audience over an extended period. He's not too keen festivals where the artists queue up, take their turn and its over. I saw someone, I think it was Robert Kory his manager, said Leonard was very unhappy not having a sound check at Glastonbury festival and although it turned out fine, now they always build one into the itinerary. Will he be staying at home for the Oakland concerts?

Pulling up Row D seats 101-103-105-107-109-111 if you've got a group of 6.
They'll cost you $176/per + service charges but a heck of a lot cheaper than the $549 you would have paid for this IDENTICAL location on the two previous nights.
Not will call restricted either.
I have a feeling scalpers are going to be burned with these three Oakland shows.
