Winter concerts? Sweden.

Post by SilverLining »

Hello,
I live in Sweden and have been a Cohen fan since before I was born (no, seriously, I have). I've just read up on the ticket dates and prices and venues and found out that the only scheduled date in Sweden is not only outdoors and a bit pricey (for a broke student, hehe) but also a bit away from where I live so I'd have to get a hotel room and train fare back and forth etc. However, I read somewhere on this site that there would maybe be a second run of indoor concerts during the winter? Does this mean he will come back to Sweden for a second show? Is there any confirmed info on this? I'd hate to miss what might be my only chance of seeing him live..

Thanks in advance!

If I were you, I would play it safe and go to the summer concert. The tentative fall/winter leg of the tour is still pending, and all decisions will be made MUCH later - possibly in August (after the summer concerts). All countries would like to have Leonard and his band, so it is also possible that Sweden will not be included at all because you already had your share of the tour! (I have to add that this is just speculation - like I said, NO decisions have been made, and we cannot yet be assured that there is a second leg of the tour!)

I have friends down here in New Zealand who are also hoping that he will decide to make it an endless summer and continue his "world tour" on down here for the Northern Hemisphere winter......(And I see some in Australia are hoping for the same!)...However Ive decided that in fact he has already committed to a very grueling schedule for someone half his age!. Methinks Time to seize the day and go where he will be :!: .I am lucky that Ive decided to combine it with my "big oe" of discovery and am going to see him in Lisbon......Then if he does make it down this way to experience some southern summer, even in Australia I will at least have some good airpoints to make it across the ditch from NZ to Aussie.... ;-)
