Official video for Democracy emerged today?

Post by tomsakic »

Today, SonyBMG has added "Leonard Cohen's official music video for Democracy from his album The Future" to the official Leonard Cohen YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/LeonardCohen

I never saw this clip nor heard about it - but it obviously IS videoclip and Leonard is singing and acting for this occasion. It ends with copyright: "Sony 1993".
It seems it was done together or as a part of The Future Press Kit which was never used, and emerged on YouTube few months ago.

It's at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OETwbVBPI1U

Also, I didn't know they had LC's YouTube channel...

I just watched it . Sorry to say it was pretty lifeless.

It's obviously the reason why they didn't release it at all.

Beautiful song, poor video.

did to you; I am old when it is fashionable to be
young; I cry when it is fashionable to laugh."

Yes! I love this sort of thing but after about 10 seconds - as soon as the concept and condition is revealed - it is quite lifeless.

Well I went to watch it too, and was quite delighted to find a Leonard Cohen YouTube page!.So I subscribed to ensure I see them as they are posted....I Did not linger long on "democracy" but went into the "Because Of" one....now thats quite delightful!!.. :) .then I watched "in My Secret Life" and "Dance me to the End of Love"...When I went to watch "Closing Time" and "First We Take Manhattan" a message came up on the top of the screen that said "THIS VIDEO IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY" ....can you believe it.. :?:  I felt personally rejected and thought hell...I dont come from Mars..just little old New Zealand..........Perhaps something to do with copyright....?..Then I wondered if it was because someone had seen into my mind as I watched and enjoyed him singing the "because of"...video....  ..Anyone know any reason why I might have been closed out of the other two???? ;-)

Funny! But you have them both at youTube anyway, just look generally under "Leonard Cohen", nit at his channel. Also, I think the both video are posted at http://www.leonardcohen.com, SonyBMG website.

It ok, for a video.
I mean what do you-all want?

The rhyming dictionary bit was funny.
