Daka's Disrobing in 1996

I wish I was as ready
When I went running
Down the mountain
Back to Boogie Street
Leaving my retreat

I know not Jikan's reasons
I have my own suspicions
I know my motivation
A junkie's desperation
That longing for lustful love
And a friend who would affirm
That I was not
An apparition

Mmmm. I like that, daka.

Do you consider yourself as back up the mountain, now? Or are your current locale and lifestyle a continuation of down the mountain?

As Donovan Leitch once said
First there is a mountain; then there is no mountain; then there is.

Opendoor has it right Lizzy

My stay on Boogie Street
Was not too long
It's not where I belonged
The thrill was gone!

Within two years I was a monk
Again, a prodigal son
With his fill of fun
Now ready for retreat

If Leonard descended
To the same destination
As me
He would have sung
"Back in Babylon"
Instead of
"Back on Boogie Street"
And his songs wouldn't be
Quite so sweet!
