(I think I was with Janis, too busy chasing after Kris Kristofferson ) But now I'm in the glorious position of discovering all of your songs and poems and writings and art and savoring them at a time when I hadn't expected to come across such a gift! The last thing I think of while immersed in your world is slitting my wrists!!! You've brought me great joy and inspiration, and I am so grateful to you.

My wish for you has been sent and tonight I will happily collect memberships for Edmontons' Cohen nights arts Society. However, I suspect that you will be happy to hear this message that somehow arrived on my phone messages today. A man named Jim Mc Culloch, who said he worked for Bob Johnston (who produced some of your music) called to say that Bob wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday.
If I had known how to have him contact you, I would have done so. Jim left his number, if you would like it.
