The creamier the better, Margaret...with a little cherry and a touch of chocolate? I might just change my mind about the muffins...cream I could never resist.

Do you seriously think that your consumption of an occasional cream bun will somehow restore the economic balance to a twisted economy which is biased against dairy farming in favour of set-aside agriculture? geeesh, get real, Margaret.

There is no need to be so hostile Dairy Farmer. I too lie awake at night worrying not just about the War v Muffins issue but about Agriculture Policy in general. But rest assured that Leonard Cohen had it right when he sang "what goes around comes around, la la la" etc.

Please don't get your knickers in a twist, Dairy Farmer. I was only thinking of my own self indulgence when talking about cream buns.

I will agree that the European Common Agricultural Policy is seriously flawed. It may be that for a long time over- production was encouraged, but now the pendulum is swinging the other way, to the detriment of British farmers. Maybe they should show their feelings as strongly as their French counterparts, who seem to have better success in influencing their government. Don't take it lying down!

Tom Stiller rather rudely said
has tom.d.stiller been rude?
then tom.d.stiller is truly sorry.

But dear Paula (PH):
It starts with two possibilities: either you understand the "dairy words" some felt inclined to use, or you don't. Since your posts seem to show you didn't get the full impact: you either fake ignorance, or one of the following two possibilities is true:
either you don't get the meaning of the words ("linguistic problem"), or you don't want to understand ("Love is the answer, but love's a 4letter word")

However, I'd prefer not too extend this issue any further. Should tom.d.stiller's rudeness have hurt your feelings, pls forgive the poor sinner.

And now please say "Cheese" :) Make it a long, a really drawn "e": "Cheeeeeeeeese" :D

Does she realise it's 'dairy' and not 'diary'?
Just a thought. OOps, I have to be careful about submitting thoughts. Sorry!

Do your mommies know where you are and what you're doing?

The reference to "mommies" is clearly provocative.

The reference to "diaries" is obscure.

The juxtopisition of the two is simply obscene. Don't presume I am naiive.

I think members of this forum should stop throwing mud at each other and leave that at the playground!
We should all at least be civil to each other and recognise each person's feelings!
We are all on this forum in relation to L. Cohen................do you think he would approve of this behaviour?
Try and be nice to everybody.................Georges

When we opened our farm to the public and even allowed children on to our premises, thats precisely what they did- throw mud. So what hope is there for the future. Leonard doesnt even try to adress that in his music.

You are being idealistic, George.

One of thing I most like Leonard Cohen is treat all people equal, without favourite. I used to worry about his words "little jew" but now I understand so much more.

George is right to say together. Now is not time to apart and I think all people can like War and muffins both!

I think now is the time for hard decisions. It is not just George who is being idealistic. If your family was at War, and G_d forbid, one of them was injured- and at that precise moment within a day or so, soldiers came from te shadows and demanded your last muffin- would you take a stand then or submit weakly?

It is that sort of question, often posed but rarely answered that need attention before it is too late. Beofre the muffins run out and before the War runs out as well.

Fantastic news although I am suspicious as to timing. Just as the War ends, (we won btw) it has been announced that they are bringing back Muffin The Mule to the TV (television). More details as I find them out.

Providing this is not some ironic news engineering to avoid the War backlash this is great and should give us all a lift and the economy as well (perhaps).

Sorry to disagree but in a war there are no winners only losers.

JTS (I know it's not original but it needs to be said)

that is not an entirely silly point you make. On reflection I think it was a draw but how can you tell when reporting is so biased?
