Muffins or War
The creamier the better, Margaret...with a little cherry and a touch of chocolate? I might just change my mind about the muffins...cream I could never resist.

Please don't get your knickers in a twist, Dairy Farmer. I was only thinking of my own self indulgence when talking about cream buns.
I will agree that the European Common Agricultural Policy is seriously flawed. It may be that for a long time over- production was encouraged, but now the pendulum is swinging the other way, to the detriment of British farmers. Maybe they should show their feelings as strongly as their French counterparts, who seem to have better success in influencing their government. Don't take it lying down!

has tom.d.stiller been rude?Tom Stiller rather rudely said
then tom.d.stiller is truly sorry.
But dear Paula (PH):
It starts with two possibilities: either you understand the "dairy words" some felt inclined to use, or you don't. Since your posts seem to show you didn't get the full impact: you either fake ignorance, or one of the following two possibilities is true:
either you don't get the meaning of the words ("linguistic problem"), or you don't want to understand ("Love is the answer, but love's a 4letter word")
However, I'd prefer not too extend this issue any further. Should tom.d.stiller's rudeness have hurt your feelings, pls forgive the poor sinner.
And now please say "Cheese"

Tom

I think members of this forum should stop throwing mud at each other and leave that at the playground!
We should all at least be civil to each other and recognise each person's feelings!
We are all on this forum in relation to L. Cohen................do you think he would approve of this behaviour?
Try and be nice to everybody.................Georges

I think now is the time for hard decisions. It is not just George who is being idealistic. If your family was at War, and G_d forbid, one of them was injured- and at that precise moment within a day or so, soldiers came from te shadows and demanded your last muffin- would you take a stand then or submit weakly?
It is that sort of question, often posed but rarely answered that need attention before it is too late. Beofre the muffins run out and before the War runs out as well.

Fantastic news although I am suspicious as to timing. Just as the War ends, (we won btw) it has been announced that they are bringing back Muffin The Mule to the TV (television). More details as I find them out.
Providing this is not some ironic news engineering to avoid the War backlash this is great and should give us all a lift and the economy as well (perhaps).
