I think that Stages is a comedic bit he does about men's appeal to women at different stages in their lives, "cute, invisible, repulsive, etc."

The same "video" from Wall Street Journal article, but it wasn't available in Russia (and I guess, somewhere else) till this evening.
Anyway, I haven't listen to anything from the new album, except the new blues song.

Even after a two hour soundcheck, which the band called "the concert before the concert," Leonard and the band often played concerts more than three hours long. As many of you noted on the last post, sometimes the curfew clock had other ideas, but Leonard did his best to coax this Dutch clock into submission.

Ah , those were the days..Late nights in the presence of Leonard Cohen .
The latest concert ending I experienced was in Barcelona - October 2012.
I looked at my watch as Leonard left the stage and it was 12.46 am !

All this has a flavour of nostalgia for the recent past with diminishing expectations of something similar for the future
