Cabaret but not as we know it

IT IS a cabaret on board a ship but not a cabaret or a ship as you may know it. This ship is not cruising the Med and the cabaret does not feature a singer performing cabaret-style numbers.
This is the theatre ship Fitzcarraldo (a former Norwegian ferry) run by Walk the Plank and berthed at Liverpool’s Canning Dock, part of the Albert Dock complex.
The cabaret event on Friday – called The Potting Shed – is also decidedly different.
Its leading act will be Tutti Pazzi from Barcelona, a cabaret group which creates interactive, improvised performances.
The Potting Shed, supported by the Liverpool Culture Company, is running the monthly cabaret throughout the year.
It promises international acts and they will have them on Friday.
The Ukulele Orchestra of Wales will be performing, a comedian known as Ralf the German makes his debut and Kicking Free Dance Company perform following a tour of Egypt.

Ken, you are clearly where it's all at! I feel so square. Haven't watched the youtube vid. yet. Here's an old favourite:

I live in Scotland, Motherwell, between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I have been a fan of Leonard since 1976 gulp, when I was a mere babe in arms. I have only seen him live once before that was in 1979 in Glasgow.
His music dates my life; I can hear a song and place myself back in time and that is amazing, he was such a big part of my teenage years. Through his music I met my ex-husband, twenty three years we were together, I'm not one for giving up easily. Then I met my new partner through him too and we are now nearing four years together.
I write poetry, short stories and have had some success with stuff published in Canada, America and the UK. At the moment I am supposed to be writing a crime novel but I can be found a lot of the time staring out of the window thinking of twenty words to describe a blade of grass.
I have three children - 22, 20, 17 and they are great, cause I can naff off now when I feel like it.
I love a challenge and did two music festivals last year camping, loved it. I also do Reiki and Spiritual healing though organized religion is not my bag.
My other hero is Bob Dylan whom I saw in concert last year, sensational, my sons are big fans too and it was amazing to think of how music can bridge that age gap.
You will have also noticed I talk too much, I am a typical Gemini; going on at full tilt or comatossed, no middle ground.

Leonard Cohen Walking Weekend, hmmm? Well, Leonard Cohen is good (obviously), and weekend is good also. It's the walking bit I might have problems with. I never really recovered from that trip up to the monastery on Hydra . Still, two outta three ain't bad (so they say). Maybe I can be a camp follower with Damellon - as long as I don't have to follow too far!

John, on the other hand, is very much into walking, and weekends, and even walking weekends. It's LC he has the problem with, though he's getting better (which is more than can be said for my walking), and I'm hoping that trips to Manchester and O2, and possibly Lyon, in the interim will have him completely converted.
