Don't know if this has been posted before but what Bono says here really gets to me
when i think back to what was going on in Ireland for decades on both sides.
Listen to all of the song.

Especially for Yankovic
Richard Thompson? Did he also record music with Linda Thompson? Richard and Linda Thompson? Did each one record solo albums as well? Which decade did they start recording in? What year?
and if you get chance to see Richard live, you must make the effort

Oh my god. Maybe I should've known from the word overwhelming. Jesus christ. Watching the Cat Power video was like listening to the opening of Tristan und Isolde- panic attack material.

This is a good thread - Thanks for bringing it to the top again Yankovic.

This one may not really fit the thread but if you go 7 minuets into it - you'll skip the explanation portion.

I've seen that video before, Frisco - love it, nice concept. I thought of you when the first LC US concert was announced. I can now uncross my fingers. Enjoy:-)

a uk group called the bookhouse boys were very reminiscent of johnny cash singing hurt when i heard them on the radio.

hear the song until sunday 6 sept - 32 minutes into programme.

BTW i was surprised to see johnny cash listed in the credits of a columbo repeat on uk tv.

Sleazy evangelist Johnny Cash resorts to murder in a bid to wriggle out of a tricky partnership with the lovely Ida Lupino - but he faces divine retribution in the unlikely form of the smoking cop in the crumpled raincoat.

Crime drama, starring Peter Falk, alongside legendary country singer Cash and Fifties starlet Lupino, plus John Dehner and Sorrell Booke.

THE EPISODE IS TITLED `SWAN SONG`.
