4. Famous Blue Raincoat
5. One of us cannot be wrong
6. Avalanche
7. Dress Rehearsal Rag
8. Suzanne
9. Seems so long ago, Nancy
10. Story of Isaac
I'd agree with you on most songs, but no.1 would be Nancy, and in stead of Avalance and dress rehearsal (don't know those) I would say teachers and marianne
A sip of wine, a cigarette
And then it's time to go
I tidied up the kitchenette
I tuned the old banjo

This is without looking at the CDs so I'm sure to forget some that I'd otherwise put on - if I could choose which to take off, anyway:

1 Stranger Song
2 Night Comes On
3 Tower of Song
4 Alexandra Leaving
5 A Singer Must Die
6 Stories of the Street
7 oh hell Hallelujah
8 The Window
9 Closing Time
10 The Traitor

Ok, people - taking into account your refreshing reluctance to follow, strictly, the Top 10 Songs rule (Don't Go Home With Your Hard And Fast Rules? ), your overall Top 10, so far, is:

1. Hallelujah
2. Famous Blue Raincoat
3. Suzanne
4. Anthem
5. Avalanche
6. One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong
7. If It Be Your Will
8. Everybody Knows
9. Seems So Long Ago, Nancy
10. Bird On The Wire

You're right, Shane. It changes every few hours. I think we could just put all his songs in a hat (with one or two exceptions), then pick ten everyday, and the result would please just about everyone.

Well, we could throw out Be for Real, and I would. However, there is someone around here that loves TNS and thinks Be for Real is a great song. It doesn't matter that Leonard didn't write it. So, we can put Be for Real in the hat every month or two.

There you go ~ a rotating few. Luck o' the draw during those months.

Mmmmm. Lemme see ~ perhaps, the dirge "Queen Victoria" could use a little time off  .

Now, that I've already said it, I'll say it again: Give Suzanne a holiday!
