True to form, the Daily Mail article gets some of the facts wrong or mixed-up.

It's certainly getting darker with this case. My heart breaks for Adam, Lorca and the grandkids that it's come to this. If Kory betrayed LC after his death to line his and his children's pockets it is the height of betrayal. May justice prevail for this family and Leonard.

i have now seen the video, dar, it was not bad.
concerning mr kory: it seems he has let greed outweigh his better judgement. which prison will he be sent to, and how long will he be locked up do you think?
leonard's previous manager got 18 months, as far as i remember - but she didn't forge his name like adam and lorca claim this one has done.

This whole affair makes me feel very uncomfortable and I am sad that it has come to this but I think we have to refrain from judging the merits of Adam & Lorca's case or condemning Robert Kory on the strength of newspaper reports and leave it to the LA courts.

hello wendy. is it ok to write about it but not give an opinion, and do you mean other cases as well - or just this leonard cohen case?

ha ha ha!!! i follow many court cases, but mostly murder - rittenhouse, murdaugh, kohberger, etc.

nevertheless, i was intrigued by your message and just wanted clarification. i believe you meant well, but at the same time feel it is a shame to put a gag on people's opinions, especially when it's so uplifting to see activity in this forum :)

I am also in favor of us being able to discuss this matter freely here. The difficulty will always be to stay away from judgment.

The fact that Leonard's legacy is being tainted again by a money and/or greed affair makes me very sad.

yes, it's come to this, and wasn't it a long way down. you are not alone with your sentiments, most of us here probably feel the same. i am only an observer in this case, not on anyone's side - and know only what i see on the internet.

the trial is scheduled to begin in los angeles on 29th march 2023. the penalty for forgery and fraud in california seems to be a manditory three years in a state prison for a first time offence if the value exceeds $950. two years of the sentence would need to be served before becoming eligible for release, the remainder of the time doing community work. in addition, the money that was earned would have to be repaid.

I'm all for us being able to discuss this here. We have no idea what happened and we will find out more as the case unfolds. I agree with Hugo's thoughts.

It's a shock to all of us to even imagine this happened.
No words can express how sad it makes me feel that its possible Leonard's wishes weren't honoured and its come to this.
