Tom, this is not the recording from dimeadozen. This is a recording I made myself, with a digital recorder, at the concert (from the fifth row).

i have not found the time to listen, yet, just to copy and send the discs this afternoon, on to neo, who will normally get them before the end of the year. (that's what they told me at the post-office)

I won't have the time to copy them today, but I will do so tomorrow and mail them when the post office is open again.

The CDs arrived today so I will be sending them to lcarbon as soon as the post office is open again (Tuesday I think).

I just happened to come across this thread whilst searching Vern's postings to find an appropriate one to wish him a Happy Birthday today! Then, here comes a Las Vegas Vine. WoW! I would LOVE to be added to this vine... my understanding of vines is that the person who gets the cd[s] then makes copies for the next person [the one behind them], is that right? So, to whom should I send what information?

This was so thoughtful of you to record it all and then [now] share it all! The divisions are not a problem whatsoever. I'll just be thrilled to have the entire concert for listening!

It looks like this vine is going very well... and if I'm still in line behind dear, sweet Abby, all the better !!!

What an unexpected blessing this thread turned out to be... look at the good fortune your birthday brought me, Vern. May it bring you as much as well !

a happy new year, first of all ; over here, in europe, we're in the second part of "festivities", the hours of fun before headaches start to build up.

a vine is about taking a copy of the discs for youself, and sending the "original" discs on to the next person on the list, so everyone has a "fresh" copy from a "master" disc.

Thank you, pe and holydove ~ that was the very thing I was wondering about... the multi generations with increasing compromising of quality. Duh ! lol I hadn't thought it through QUITE far enough . All's well now. Such a great idea... I've seen them mentioned/done before, but never been involved with one. The others I saw were in Europe [as this one will be, too, but at least the U.S. is in on this one ].
