 Unbelievably funny, Allan. I laughed out loud through every line of your post. Will save the details from your blog for tomorrow.

Going forward with variations on a theme... GinaDCG said, "Now I know who I am," and I say to you, "You know who I am... "

Funniest thing I've read in quite awhile. Brilliant 8) ! I needed the laugh and made good use of it. Thanks  !

I've finally come to the conclusion that none of us are abnormal. This is a perfectly healthy condition to be suffering from - it's the rest of the world who need to be exposed to CPD.

Go forth Leonard and spread your words!!!!

Dr. Heck of a Guy,

May I humbly suggest that I have observed another tell-tale behavioral symptom which may be indicative of this disorder?

A compulsion to throw stuffed animals, such as stuffed monkeys or bears, onto a stage where Leonard Cohen is performing.

And/or a compulsion to document and view the travels of such inanimate, stuffed toys on a day to day basis.

(Of course, I rely on your editorial judgement -- a patient can not exhibit clinical detachment from the disorder she herself suffers from.)

I couldn't agree more, often when asked 'Are you ok?' My jokey reply is 'I'm ok its the rest of them' - The same applies to Len fans and non Len fans!

I guess the only good thing is that since the tour continues none of us are yet suffering from Post Cohenphilic Personality Disorder (PCPD)

Just great, Allan, and thanks for this brilliant idea! CPD means being healthy in mind and soul - and let's not let the Post CPD syndrome come for many years from now! :D

You really have made me very happy - and proud to be "suffering"!

Allan can start working on that description now. I'm sure there are some predictable symptoms.

I found the cure. (Or at least some great medicine) Minute Prologue, Live Songs 1972.

Dear Dr. Heck,

what a relief reading that I'm not just crazy but have a *looks in the round on the Forum* VERY common and official, mental disorder.

Thank you very much for that!

Sincerely, Kerstin ;-)

I Love what you did with that, CinCin :D ... little did Leonard know just how prophetic he'd end up being, including his own ground-breaking developments in the science of medicine. How healing it is when we go to him and are given song 8) ... and how much we'd be willing to pay for the remedy ;-) .

I also love your choice of signature 8) .

Thanks Lizzy. :) I just got the Live Songs album after San Jose - I'm slowly making my way through everything. Only a couple of the live ones left. . . . Each one is like Christmas, as I play it over and over, unwrapping the layers of meaning in the songs. Don't think I'll be able to hold out until the "new album" comes out.

I admire your signature, too. :D One of the best I've seen.

First, my colleagues and I want to express our appreciation of the input from those bravely enduring not only the underlying disorder of Cohenphilic Personality Disorder but also the pangs of Cohen Withdrawal Syndrome now that it's been over 3 weeks since the last Leonard Cohen World Tour concert.

In addition, I am announcing the availability of the Cohenphilic Personality Disorder Medical Alert Bracelet, the ideal holiday gift for the terminally Cohenphilic. Details, including emergency resuscitation materials and medical documentation can be found at http://1heckofaguy.com/2009/12/07/new-a ... ote_0_5800

Profits from sales of these bracelets go to the Leonard Cohen Fan Disorders (Love Is Not A Victory) March Of Benjamins Foundation, a charitable effort of compassion which raises money in tiny increments through skipathons to fund life support for those suffering from Cohenphilic Personality Disorder. As I, in my role as Director of Research for the Foundation, have pointed out many times, “Every $100 donation brings a patient afflicted with Leonard Cohen Fan Disorder a little closer to receiving the desperately needed intensive care that is available only in center stage, front row seats at a Leonard Cohen concert.”

You are brilliant Dr. H. Guy!
Now tell me how to cure my withdrawal's? They are really bad right now...the last concert was only 3 weeks and 1 day ago but I am at a loss how to function!
I love the new support you put up and will order some of the bracelets, polka dot blouses, glow sticks, and more..
the only cure being front row center seats at the next LC concert hopefully close to home!!! or your home!!! or anyone's home!
thanks again
Mutti (Leslie) ;-) ;-) ;-)  ;-)
