He has sung 'Heart With No Companion' at a few concerts this summer, the first of which was Weybridge I believe looking at the set lists. Never would I have said it had an Irish flavour, more Country & Western style I would have thought what with the steel guitar, harmonica and piano featuring prominently.

tinderella wrote:If he sang every single song on the list we would be there for another hour... give the man a break!... the songs at the side of the set list are obviously 'possibles or probables' and they decide which to include on the night.
We are not complaining that he doesn't play ALL of these in a single night... but we are wondering why he bothers to list them and yet he never actually plays them. Stuff like "One of Us Cannot Be Wrong" and "There is a War" was listed in every setlist i've seen, but yet in 100+ shows he hasn't played any of those, choosing instead to stick to the same songs over and over again. It seems peculiar that these were apparently rehashed, and even after doing so many shows he doesn't mix them in.
On another, yet related, issue - I'm very worried to see Chelsea Hotel dropped from so many shows. It is a personal favourite, and also a very famous and well loved song, and includes many great concert moments ("We are ugly but we have the music"). I love to see stuff like That Don't Make it Junk returns, but I wonder why the song dropped has to be Chelsea... I think stuff like "My Secret Life" have grown old by now, I hope he drop it instead.
Anyway, as long as Famous Blue Raincoat stays in, I'm happy.

I would have been disapointed if he dropped that!....drop the intermission and play three or four more songs would be the best idea!

Hi,
I received this photo of the Belfast setlist from Liz Baker (forgot her forumname...

), together with this comment:
I got the setlist from Michelle Grimaldi. As I was leaving I spotted
Charley Webb, as you can see she signed the setlist. We had a quick chat
she said they enjoyed the show very much and that there was a great energy
from the crowd in Belfast.

I 98% sure that this is the set list from Lisbon. The concert didn't start on time so there was neither That Dont Make it Junk/Heart with no Companion nor the poem.
Dance me to the End of Love
The Future
Ain't No Cure for Love
Bird on the Wire
Everybody Knows
In My Secret Life
Who by Fire
Waiting For The Miracle
Anthem
Tower of Song
Suzanne
Sisters of Mercy
The Partisan
Boogie Street
Hallelujah
I'm Your Man
Take This Waltz
So Long Marianne
First We Take Manhattan
Famous Blue Raincoat
If it Be Your Will
Closing Time
I Tried to Leave You
Whither Thou Goest

Its most unusual for Leonard's concerts not to start on time. What happened?

Has happened before, though - in Amsterdam last year, for example, the concert began almost twenty minutes late. These things are just not always to be avoided, I guess - no matter how perfect and smooth the organization is, you simply cannot plan for everything!

I think people just turne dup late! thats about it, maybe as well to get to the balconies there was only one entrance for each block and the stewards were slowly explaining where people should go, and now that I think about it I didn't hear any announcements of your 15 minute call time etc.

Both Berlin & Antwerp started at least 15 minutes late. The poem got missed out - I don't know if that was deliberate (it was also missing at Wetbridge & Liverpool) or whether it was because the show was running late.

I imagine we had to be out by 12 (concert started at 9) so as to give people a chance to catch the metro home etc before it closed at 1am.
