Lizzy, I am not that much interested in a bigger crowd than we had at the events before. That's why the no of participants is strictly limited to 250 because that is an appropriate size that makes an event enjoyable and no one feels lost. Dem, dreaming is allowed, isn't it ?

Yes, I agree, Henning. Better that they be there for the camaraderie and nature of the Event, itself, anyway. However, I had to  add that, regardless.

But wouldn't it be brilliant if the tour could begin in Berlin around the time of our little gathering so we could have a block of the best seats together :) I know it's it's a long shot

So Spring 2007 is optimistic  Well, it's a long shot, isn't it. Maybe they shouldn't announce the tour. Can you see Leonard now, after that, saying in 2007, after the album, "Well, friends, I cannot go after all, I have written new poems [we do know that bok of longin are now old poems before 2001, and he still writes every day] and I wanna finish new book, I finally started to write the novel I announced in 2001, and I have some new songs for the next next album, and maybe I'll help Anjani with her new record; she didn't release album since 2005's Blue Alert..."

Maybe we should all be realistic. By the sound of the voice LC on Dear Heather I dont think that he will be able to perform many of his old hits. What i hoped for and stille hope for is a new LC record where he goes back to the start in the 50'ies where he recited poems to Jazz music. That would work on a stage also.

I dont believe that he will be touring in 2007. The lights are going out, on the other hand he sings : "...I freeze with fear, but Im there for you".

Looking back, he was there, for all of us. It meant going up the hill, climbing the cross put up by modern judges. But it gave us depth and joy, seriousness and laughter

Tom said (on the previous page):
Well, we know how much he needs to make an album...
I would say "we know how much he needed to make an album in the past". Things seem to be quite different now...

This sounds like you have some more information than you can publish right now, Jarkko. You usually have. About different ;) things :)

Hum... I was wondering (silently) also if this is a decision of the management or if this is really Leonard Cohen's intention, considering the discretion he was carefully cultivated these last years. But this would not be the first time he would surprise people, this elusive gypsy, and get off of situations that were supposed to be ended in every issue.

Interesting prevision John E. :D

Here, with this link we will be able to follow day by day the odds regarding all this  :

LC's daily numerolology

Here for today :

"Numerology for Leonard Cohen for 4/21/2005
In Your Public Life...
Words that embody your presence are "Chronology".

Words that embody things that may be a part of you are "Arm, Life".

Words that embody people or things in your periphery are "Abandon, Bitch, Boy, Cat, Cloak, Communication, Conquest, Conspiracy, Dawn, Demon, Domination, Ear, Executive, Falcon, Feline, Fish, Forge, Frontier, Gate, Gun, Harlequin, History, Internet, Isolation, Lady, Leech, Leg, Libido, Limbo, Magic, Mars, Metal, Purgatory, Rain, Silk, Sin, Solitude, Urge, Wand, War, Wave, Wine"."

Hum...at least, if this is not used to smell the air to know if it is OK today for him to step on the stage, he could find some inspiration for other songs or poems, there. 8)

P.S. : Margaret you have clever ideas. I wish this to you! :D

P.S. (2) : I wrote and posted without having read the two previous messages. What is laying under these mysterious words, now? (I wonder) :)

I like this 'take' on things. :)
