The couch was a bit lumpy, no back, and person on floor pillow seat made it hard to move legs at all. Lots good bars in the area. :-)

I see, and that made it hard to relax, of course. When a person is physically comfortable, their alertness is often dulled, their resting muscles inform the brain of the body's inactivity, concentration becomes sluggish as the senses are tricked into focusing on system shutdown. For this reason churches are normally furnished with hard benches, so as to lessen the likelihood of snoring during the sermon. That is why you managed to keep awake and write a decent review, Dick.
