Your signature is very funny, by the way, Fljots. Sensible. Sensible! Forget sensible. This is a chance of a lifetime and I cannot imagine you missing it, even though it appears you can  . He may do another tour that will bring him back your way next year, but I sure wouldn't miss this one, whilst banking on that one. Just GO, Fljots! You'll be so glad you did.

'Groan!' I KNOW!! Shut up and go away!!! Or, should I say 'get thee behind me, satan!' ?? I WANT to go....

And yeah... I thought the comment in my sig very amusing, too. ;-) The rest of their bodies can be blown to smithereens, but not their private parts. Sort of gave me an image of male genitalia prancing about paradise without benefit of bodies...

Do you think any suicide bombers will want to 'get' me for such unhallowed thoughts? Although what is hallowed about wanting to protect their genitalia for 'use in paradise', I wonder?

I agree with Lizzie (for once!) This is what life is about, enjoying yourself. Where there is a will, there is a way.
My two cents worth.

Yes, I agree with her too. But I HAVE to be sensible, however reluctantly. It isn't just the money - though that IS a HUGE factor when you are on a very limited pension - but also I very much doubt my ability to sit - or stand - for hours. If I did it, I would suffer days, if not weeks, of agony, to say nothing of not being able to enjoy it for the agony of sitting in uncomfortable seats for so long. Currently, I have been sitting in a reasonable chair in front of this computer for abour half an hour, and am already in quite some pain, and will have to get me away from here very shortly. I'm sorry to bang on about my damnation body, but if I don't tell you, you will just think I'm being miserly!

Flots,
I believe I will have a spare ticket for Friday (or AEG are in trouble LOL) and am going with my Fiance on Tuesday, passed on tickets for Wednesday to a couple of deserving angels from here, there on Thursday with someone else from here after being lucky in the queue at the Guardian only (LOL) day and now, firmly believe that ticket will arrive before the world is more than a day or two older than now for Friday and you would be most welcome to have one of them, just for being you, no cost, no obligation no need to do anything except be you, I'll whack a post on herewhen I have tham firmly in my hand and if you can get to Manchester then you will go to The Ball! (if you like)

My dear, that is the sweetest thing I ever read. I have tears in my eyes. I'd love to accept - but ... what I said above doesn't change because opportunity knocks at the door! :( But I DO thank you, and offer you a big, warm (((HUG))) :)

friscogri, Diane, all -

And the worst of it is that I look and feel perfectly fit until I do something stupid, like travelling, or sitting for hours, or walking when my hip is giving me gyp. Travelling stresses my neck, sitting screws up my back, and if my hip is playing up as well I don't stand any chance at all! Other than that I'm fine, I promise you! :D

And thank you all for your kindness and concern. :)

Hi Fljots ~

It must've seemed I was ignoring you and your response, but I've just now read this... and only because I spotted your name  ! I'm really sorry to hear that your reasons for not attending are very real and seemingly uncompromising. I so wish that there were a way around it; and lacking that, that you'll manage to do other things, instead, with a minimum of pain and discomfort. Getting older  .

Such a LOVELY and kind offer that jondi made to you! It's regrettable that you can't go to The Ball. That would have been SO cool 8) ! That was really great of you, jondi :D .

I'm glad to see that you're braving the body elements, Rodin!
I agree with Lizzie (for once!)
Now, wait a minute, FriscoGirl. I remember at least one other time when you did, and you made a point of its rarity then, too  .

Well, I'm younger than our Hero ( 8) ), Lizzy, but only by 3 years! I guess he is a bit creaky as well, and he has to do all that travelling and get up on stage night after night... I feel a bit guilty not going, actually, but I really can't face all that pain, not even to see him in the flesh, and hear him singing live. I really do want to go. It's so close...
And yes, Jondi is a fantastically generous person. (More (((HUGS))) for Jondi. :D )

Hi fljotsdale & lizzytish

I cant begin to understand the body pain you are going through, but i could imagine the pain of not getting to see LC,because i was going through the same when i could not get a ticket for life nor money.
That was until a Mr or is it sir Jondi!!! called and turned my head upside down and now i cant help talking and boring everyone in my work place about MY concert as if Leonard was going to play just for me.
I would just like to reiterate what Lizzy has said about both of you and all the best for the future.

your friend Stan
