Do you have any interest at all in Leonard Cohen? I just wonder because all of your posts seem to be bemoaning the British farming industry. Maybe another website would allow you to protest more effectively.

What a snobbish post, Margaret. Do you think you are superior to me because I am just a farmer?
As it happens, a mate of mine introduced me to Cohen quite recently. He lied to me that Cohen's new CD included a track called "A Thousand Cheeses Deep".

I wouldn't have known Edwin Starr died it wasn't really reported it was a 2 second postscript on the news. He lived and died in Engand Sheffield I think. That surprised me more than the fact he had died. I saw him once down the Ram Jam Club in Brixton.

His biggest hit was "WAR". But he might have nicked the lyrics off Paula H with her "War what is it good for absolutely Muffins"

Mint sauce, Byron?
Now that's a commodity I haven't yet considered.
Does mint sauce go well with a free Leonard Cohen (with syrup) with every muffin (voted for)?
I think this certainly is something my palate must consider. I'll let you know in due time whether your mint sauce may be safely assumed to add the necessary piquancy to my thickets. Whatever the outcome, I'm sure we'll find some suitable accomodation for your mint sauce.

I wouldn't have anything to do with Byron's mint sauce, Jo, if I were you. It usually goes with mutton dressed as lamb

Thank you for that warning Linmag - I shall have to consider it seriously when Byron turns up in my thickets with his large quantities of mint sauce.
Being a bit woolly myself, I have no beef with poor little lambs - I find I have more of an affinity with mutton, so I don't think the mint sauce will go to waste - as long as Byron has no objections to an added touch of syrup.
