Greetings Katrin, Lizzy, Adam and Mat,
A big thank you to you all for your responses to The Voice (ii). I have not had access to the internet for a while so please forgive my late reply.
A big, warm, albeit belated, welcome to the forum, Katrin. The Voice (ii) was written in the small hours of the morning whilst I was on night shift. Hence, the references to "moon traveller" and "bed of stars". I worked night shift for nearly seven years. And many of my poems around that time came "of a sudden" whilst my family were at home tucked up sleeping. The poems at this time came to me at great speed. Often I had to scrawl shorthand just to keep up with the intuitive flow. All references in The Voice (ii) are specific and concrete to my life experience. Either they related to myself or people I knew. The lines with "the bright, soft light of hope" came to me in meditation some time ago. It was a life transforming vision. Needless to say that vision works its way into a great deal of my poems and their themes. Indeed, that vision now permeates my whole life. Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Lizzy, I can only dream of emulating
your phenomenal writing output. 12,411 posts in four years. That's unbelievable creativity and stamina! It's simply amazing! What you bring to me, and no doubt others, on the LC forum cannot be captured in words alone but only felt by the heartbeat of the soul. The depth and honesty of your responses and intuitive intelligence is a revelatory delight. Our world is a better place for your presence Lizzytysh. Shine on sister of light

.
Adam, you surely have "the voice of the poet that breaks the silence." As Lizzy has intimated before, your words strike like a heavyweight boxing champion in his prime. Your work has power and punch. The above line in The Voice (ii) refers to all poets, past and present, of our world and the courage they display in their acts of revelation. Keep on writing champ

.
Brother Mat, may you continue to dwell in your house of spaciousness, timelessness and causelessness. I remember a friend saying to me once that in the face of the numinous, one can remain silent or one can compose a thousand thousand psalms. May you do both

.
Love to you all
Bernard
