Tri-Me, my reference to ACDC was entirely about the band. We wouldn't want to entertain such additional activities, otherwise we might not end up with any fine sculptures at all.

Diane, I would suggest that the sculpture I might erect would be greatly influenced by the precise makeup of the AC and the DC in the AC/DC combination. While there are certain configurations that would make it hard for me to build much more than what I normally construct, other arrangements might stimulate me on to even greater creative heights than normal!

But Lizzy, did she paint any sculptures on the theme of the Chelsea Hotel?

Whatever configurations would make it hardest for you, John, that's what I think you should go for. We are looking to spur people on to great creative heights, so I am sure we could accommodate any number of unusual arrangements.

Liz I have a pic of Georgia O'keefe in my living room. With a man i cannot check it rumi is asleep on my lap. Hard to believe from her image that she created these flowers.
http://www.jerryjazzmusician.com/pics/gok326.jpg would make good wall paper in my menagerie. Diane can youclear this for me?

What a beautiful painting! IMO, Georgia O'Keefe's paintings are far too lovely to be in a smut thread (that is where I am, isn't it?). She painted a lot of non-erotic scenes as well. Nope. She's museum quality, not smut. ZZzzzzzzzzzz. (that was the 'does not qualify') buzzer.

Besides which, those flowers exist in nature. Usually they're orange with a white centre, though. Still....

Yes, G~d's repetitions and replication of themes are awesome, aren't they?

My point, of course, was not to compromise the presentation of Georgia's quality of work, but rather to suggest that the following would not necessarily be the outcome at all:
Tri-Me, my reference to ACDC was entirely about the band. We wouldn't want to entertain such additional activities, otherwise we might not end up with any fine sculptures at all.
Simply to say that fine, sculptural possibilities still await. Just ask Georgia :) .

[Sorry for raising the tone a tad :? ]

diane, i began writing the double entendres, but it got to be too much work. i found too many things to reply to, and sometimes straight shootin' will do the trick just as well. you can be sexy and clever... or you can be sexy and just plain dirty and perverted. :D :P

Lizzy, ooooooh, I see! So, we cross that indefinable line between the pornographic and the erotic. That's cool. I don't know who is going to be judging this competition, but they may well have your, more tasteful, preferences. And yes, the sculpture, whilst not so outstanding, is certainly equally as interesting. How sexist of me not to consider this  . Thank you for your input into this thread, Lizzy. I think you qualify to be on the panel of expert advisors.

Tri-Me, go for it. The wallpaper is divine.

Where does smut end and erotica begin? When more subtlety is introduced, I guess.

So, then, Mr Teratogen, let's put things to the ultimate test: Can you enter a tastefully erotic post, next, please?

Hi Diane ~

Thanks for your reprieve :D . Since the title and intent of the thread, however, is "Smut," I think I'll just leave well enough alone and stay on the other side of that quietly-closed door [I'm talking to you now through one of those tin-can and string telephones we used to make as kids  ].

Advisory panel. Hmmm. I'm sure I would get consistently outvoted as a judge, as the criteria I'd have in mind would likely be askew from the rest; but as one of the expert advisors, some of my observations might have merit and relevance. Let me think on that :) .

Thank you for that T. Your poem contains a lot of truth.

Lizzy, that's perfectly OK. I would encourage you to accept the position of expert advisor. Having you in such a role would add so much credibility to the smut.

I'm pulling your leg of course (do you have that expression over the pond?). I would never try to associate your good self with a lot of this thread, which, I must admit, is base and unseemly.

Fun, though  .

But, truly, thank you for raising the tone, Lizzy. Your observations had a great deal of merit :) 8) . Hope we can keep it that way for a while. The only trouble is, other than you, T and myself, everybody has suddenly deserted this thread. Was it something I said  ?

< * you can hear a pin drop * >

I wonder what's going to happen next...? Is this the end? Smut thread RIP?.

< * everyone holds their breath * >

< * cough, cough * >

[Whoops, looks like someone's still here.]

Oh, yes, I know you are ~ and, yes, we have the same expression, same meaning, here.

" . . . credibility to the smut" ~ let me think on that, as well  .

Oh, Diane....I suspect there will be others round soon. Not to worry. After all, smut does play a rather large role in our societies, is that not so? I doubt that you could offend anyone out of anywhere ~ so hold off on taking on that blame  .

diane, i stole all 3 of those lines from marilyn manson songs. "i'm tasteless, but taste good" is from a song called "kaboom-kaboom," and the dirty nursery rhyme is from a song called "slutgarden."

T, is that so? I have still to track down some marilyn Manson, but I most certainly will, sooner or later. And then was me thinking it was all your own original work  .

Dear Lizzy, well, I thought you'd take that oppotunity to encourage the demise of the thread, but you did not   .

Oh, I get it. You enjoy reading here more than you are letting on.
smut does play a rather large role in our societies, is that not so
Smut makes the world go around, you mean. Yes, indeed.

Thanks for leaving all that string from the telephone behind. I'm sure one of the artists might find it useful.

I think it was something I said. See, it's still relatively quiet. After calling for the tone to be raised, nobody has a clue what to say anymore.

So. Let's get this back on track. People: Lizzy has pointed out that we don't know that activities were confined entirely to the words in Leonard's song. There may well have been a reciprocal aspect to things. So, feel free to continue with any one of about 69 possible variations on the theme.
