should we write about the news of the Man himself touring again? I think it might bring out the very worst of us all. I seem to remember in the Hallmark Lady era here there were some fan worship verse which may not, ahem, been of the very best standard. OTH it could be a challenge to equal the awful Winter set by my good friend Joe.
anyway, what do you say?
and we need to find us a Judge, wish it wasn't the Finnish Accountancy High Season yet again.

(Although, I'll have to wait until my heart stops beating so rapidly after the BIG NEWS!
do you think a poem about LC touring will bring out the worst fan devotion rhymes?

well, how about instead of a topic there is a style or form of poetry everyone must write in instead, and leave the topics up to us? now these are just simple examples, but i mean everyone would have to do a sonnet, villanelle, or haiku or whatever. or someone can make up their own strict style with specific meter and rhyme scheme and everyone must adhere to it. yay or nay?

Well this would totally exclude Seedy - he doesn't even know what a villanelle isTeratogen wrote:well, how about instead of a topic there is a style or form of poetry everyone must write in instead, and leave the topics up to us? now these are just simple examples, but i mean everyone would have to do a sonnet, villanelle, or haiku or whatever. or someone can make up their own strict style with specific meter and rhyme scheme and everyone must adhere to it. yay or nay?

p.s.: What a boring poem it would be if it was about LC touring - yawn

I'd prefer not but let's see what others say, T.Teratogen wrote:well, how about instead of a topic there is a style or form of poetry everyone must write in instead, and leave the topics up to us? now these are just simple examples, but i mean everyone would have to do a sonnet, villanelle, or haiku or whatever. or someone can make up their own strict style with specific meter and rhyme scheme and everyone must adhere to it. yay or nay?

My dear sweet boy,
"Hallmark era". Yes indeed, we're all so happy you got the riffraff out of here! We certainly don't want to return to the days when just anybody could post a poem here. I mean, a pleasant community is fine and all but we'd much rather have a "real" poetry site, moderated, of course, by one with such a civil tongue as yours.
So, a hearty "thank you!".
You see how easy it is to give thanks? I'm still waiting on my thank you for critiquing your poems. I've noted a lot of polls and such where you go off the deep end with your name calling, like you're a school yard bully, but no thank you's.
When do you think that will be coming?
