I guess this is a UK thing only. Sometimes, the CBC covers the same things the BBC does, however, this doesn't sound like one of them. Too bad. I presum Stina is a local interviewer/celebrity?
Likewise with the CBC, they, from time to time, drag out old/newer interviews and panels discussing his work (usually his poetry). I'm glad the LC interest is still there.
Cheers,
Linda.

Actually Stina Lundberg-Dabrowski is a Swedish reporter who has interviewed Leonard a couple of times in recent years. If you can't catch the programme, there's a transcript of the interview at the 'Speaking Cohen' web site at http://www.webheights.net/speakingcohen/sl2001.htm.

This sounds like it would be very interesting indeed. Unfortunately I'm in Australia and not the United Kingdom so I can only hope to catch it here one day on ABC or SBS perhaps. I suppose it's also possible they could play it here on a cable station. Something interesting to report from here though is that Channel 10 keeps playing "Thoughts on Ten New Songs" fairly regulary as filler between normal programming and infomercials in the early hours of the morning. Completely blew me away when I first caught it after a late night at work.

Welcome to the Forum, Niffin
~ Yes, you will like it here. Just jump in, the water's warm. Keep swimming, dog paddle when you need to, and if you like, take a rest on the soft sand from time to time. Good for you, seeing Leonard 'Live' ~ I did, too, and what a memorable experience. I won't revisit my views on this interview, but will concur that, overall, it was excellent!
