i still refer quite often to your rare and wonderfully informative 'is this what you wanted' volume. maybe time for a revised update?

Hi Jim,
Just wanted to let you know that the tour books (I bought 3 different ones) are very interesting, chock full of Cohen tour trivia. Of particular interest are reading Leonard's banter with the audience during the concerts. I never had the pleasure of seeing him perform on any pre-2010 tours, it seems like when he was younger he would engage with the audience a lot. Was thinking about why he mostly (but of course not completely) curtailed that. I am guessing that when one is in his 70s it must be somewhat harder to concentrate on the songs and remember lyrics, so he didn't want to distract himself with the job on hand. Another reason could be the fact that Leonard only drank sparingly on the later tours as opposed to the old tours where references to imbibing wine during the intermissions were common.
Thanks again Jim!
