Something pretty much for everyone on those playlists- but are these songs really what the president listens to when he has time to relax?
Remember he is a politician , albeit not one seeking re-election
Nonetheless the lists could be influenced by PR people advising him that including certain songs might make him look "cool"?

I think the fact that Obama tweeted about his favourite tunes makes any discussion of the veracity of the playlists rather pointless. For me, that puts him right up there (or down there) with the likes of <insert name of mindless celebrity of the day> tweeting about what they had for lunch.

well, i am reticent to say too much because walls have ears, and it's not really allowed to talk about anything in here connected with politics. so may i just briefly say it was the first time the president has mentioned leonard, and i thought that was nice of him, despite the cynicism expressed by dave and lisa above. after all, leonard has never once in his life mentioned obama, remember. then again, living in a small fishing community as i do has perhaps made me naive. we islanders are a collection of good-natured and trusting souls, in the habit of seeing only the best in people. in my opinion leonard is quite good at singing songs, and i am not suspicious when people openly say they like him. prince charles likes leonard as well, lots of people do.

well, a wise celebrity never talks publicly about politics, because it alienates all their fans who vote for the other side. do a search both in google and this website and you will find leonard has never mentioned either the president or his successor, mr trump.

He only did that because the people in that church--where their family members were shot--forgave the killer and refused to let themselves be used in Obama's race baiting agenda.
