Hi Maarten,

I’ve just listened to this – most enjoyable and excellent quality. I have a certain feeling of nostalgia hearing the subtle crackles and pops on the vinyl record. You probably tried to illuminate them!

.......And speaking of the vinyl record, I don’t know if you have realised that your reflected image is embedded forever in the photo you took of it

I love the general casual feeling of the whole interview at his house in Montreal (that he said he built) with the background noises of adult and children’s voices, whistling to the dogs who then begin barking and Irvine just happening to drop in for a visit.

I thought this was an interesting part:

“Suzanne is the energy behind a lot of that....a lot of this work because she has the babies and she knows what she needs in terms of an environment, you know....I really could have done without planting all this corn and tomatoes, you know....but I don’t know....she wants to have these things growing around her so I find myself digging in the mud!”

It’s good to have a record of something from so long ago.
