I heard mention of this on radio 2 yesterday. Do you think we can manage it in the pub in Galway?

It actually reminds me of what some friends and I used to do in hotels many years ago when we went out for a drink. One of us would run our wet finger around the rim of our glass and make a similar sound but we wouldn't look at what we were doing so no one knew where this reverberating resonance came from. The finer the crystal glass the higher the note but it alters with the volume of drink in the glass. It still works on beer glasses but gives a very base sound and is much harder to do. A couple more friends would join in to triple the sound and add different notes. Eventually, we were exposed but it was such good fun. I can still do it now!
