Hello,
I recently inherited an original 8x10 colour photograph of Leonard Cohen. My fathers friend was from Greece and met Leonard there in the early 70's when the photo was taken. I also have the negative somewhere. My father was a photographer and printed this photo in his darkroom.
The photo is of Leonard smiling standing in front of a crumbling old house. It is a close up from the waist up. It is a really great photo. I just dont know what to do with it.
What would the value of this photo be, if any? I would love to show this photo to his fans but worried about people stealing it. How do you get around this?
Any advice would be great. Also anyone know how to store old photo's properly? Thank you.

Re: Original Photograph
Hi, I don't know how you could present the photo without it being copied etc., though I would love to see it.
On the storing of old photos -they should be stored flat, in acid free conditions. You can buy achival storage plastic sleeves, or sheets of acid free archival paper ( you could sandwich it between them). I've stored quite a few very old family photos in plastic A4 archive sheets - you can get them from genealogy suppliers. They're a bit expensive if you need lots of them, but well worth it. If you need the address of suppliers just let me know.

Re: Original Photograph
You could scan the photo and upload it onto the forum .
If you made the image and file size small enough then it wouldn't be possible to print bigger images without it becoming pixelated.
Another way is to put an electronic watermark across the image but I am afraid I don't know enough about this.
