Hi all,

Windy and raining in Sligo right now but weather report showed only showers for tomorrow with a 30% chance of precipitation, AND, Sunday partly sunny with only a 20% chance! Some of the Westlife crew are at my hotel (Radisson) and advise it's REAL muddy at the venue....there may be a run on wellies in Sligo! Might not be a good idea to wear sandals.

Only one more day!!!!

Don't be glum. Sitting in the Radisson looking out the window. Sky is bright. Feels like the rain will lift so going to walk the beach before heading out to the concert.

Just left the computer room at the Radisson for a moment to check, and you're right - the sky is bright with some blue patches. Not glum, how could I be? I'm going to see LC tonight!! Was simply trying to get info out there so everyone brings appropriate attire (winter coats and boots ) so as not to be distracted by the elements during the show

As the hugely anticipated Leonard Cohen concerts of the summer fast approach, promoters have lifted the lid on what's cooking at Lissadell House on July 31 and August 1.

Not only can music fans look forward to a three-hour performance by the legendary artist, there will also be a veritable feast of fine food from some of Ireland's best known food providers to choose from, with the emphasis on quality and taste, homemade and home-grown cooking.
With doors opening at 4 p.m. ahead of the live performance at 7.30 p.m., there will be plenty of opportunity to unwind and imbibe in the atmosphere of Lissadell.

With many food stalls and an array of wine bars serving cocktails, organic wine and champagne, concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early, avoid the traffic, and savour the culinary delights.

The food line-up will surely complement the superb set up for the two Cohen concerts.

The arc-shaped stage will be set just 50 metres away from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean with its stunning views of Benbulben. The stately house will provide a dramatic backdrop to the 47-metre stage on the front lawn for this intimately fully seated concert.

And as dusk descends and one of the greatest singer songwriters takes to the stage at 7.30 p.m. in the magical setting of Lissadell, an event of breathtaking magnificence will unfold.

Yeah Saturday was perfect. I think I heard people singing happy birthday to you which meant we were only a few feet apart!
