Does anyone know what time the show actually starts on Saturday at Lissadell? I can't find this info anywhere - but maybe I've just missed it.
I don't really fancy sitting about outside for several hours if I can avoid it.

Real-alan says: How about you move the warm dry weather up here.... ?

I would if I could!!! Still, it's very close and humid here, so maybe the sea breeze in from the Atlantic will be welcome.

Ah, the bouncing ball is back ! Great. All's right with the world. :D

ps. Welcome to Ireland Mutti !

Hi RedBird,
Show begins 7. 30. Announced only quite recently, so everyone might not be aware of this important information.

Thanks TipperaryAnne - much appreciate it - I can now start to plan my day - really looking forward to seeing LC - for the third time in as many years in Ireland - never thought I'd be able to say that!
Cheers!

Welcome, RedBird. Might take a while to get to Lissadell, though, depending on how you're travelling. Yes, it is getting really exciting now!!!

my confidence is vindicated (a little) - the local forecast for Saturday evening has now changed to "low cloud", rather than rain.... a definite improvement... but, it may (will...) change again between now & the weekend (THIS WEEKEND :D ) - - let's hope it gets better, not worse... I'll keep you posted (not that I'm obsessive at all... )
you may be right, I may be crazy.... but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for...

blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..... plenty

Tuesday morning - just heard forecast on RTE : "becoming dry on Saturday evening". :) Hope that doesn't change !

It p**sed down for much of the weekend in Zagreb and it's p***ing it down in Salzburg today. I have this feeling that the Lissadell shows will be held under clear balmly skies. There will of course be plenty of rain in Scotland (where we will be on Saturday and Sunday) to make us feel right at home!

I tend to ignore the RTE forecasts.... they're way too general, and the North West coast tends to be a series of microclimates... I've had blazing sunshine on days when RTE forecast "rain everywhere" (and sadly the reverse... ) - there are a number of forecasts which are much more locally focused, and these tend to be more accurate, although by no means infallible!

We're still looking at "cloudy but dry" for Saturday evening (although some rain during the day...) - must dash, gotta go look at my seaweed...

That sounds good, Wendy! I hope your feelings are usually right.... Pity you'll miss Lissadell, but I hope you have a great concert in Salzburg tonight, and get at least one new song, maybe!

Sky News is giving sunshine and showers for all day Saturday and metcheck.com is giving showers in afternoon but cloudy in the evening. Pity Sky don't do detailed future forecasts as as a rule they are reliable enough.

There has just been a report on the Lissadell gigs showing the stage and seats on RTE news. Stage looks massive. If a link appears on RTE.IE I'll post it it :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Purple Princess, I love your description of the Wipes! Was going to suggest bringing another type of wipe, a few sheets of kitchen paper to dry the seat. There are few things in life worse than a wet plastic seat!!! If more encouraging forecasts are accurate it might not be necessary, still......
