Leonard and Lissadell

Post by jdhayes »

There is an article on Lissadell and the upcoming concerts in the Review section of today's Irish Independent. Worth a read.

Thanks for the news jd. Is the article available online? Or failing that, would it be possible for you to scan it and post it here for those of use who do not have access to three Irish Independent?

Sorry, I'm not very good on computers but if someone else doesn't do it I will get my son to do it. Meanwhile you could try under irishindependent.ie. Best wishes.

Hi jd,

Read the article...thanks so much. Seems we have a John Reynolds (promoter) to thank for introducing the idea of Lissadell House to Leonard's management! Also enjoyed reading your paper and looking forward to reading it in person very very soon!! :D

Ladydi, you did better than I did. I could not find the article online. I bought the paper this morning. What did you click on to find it?
See you soon.

heh-heh...I had trouble too at the start. That's why I was reading the whole paper! Then I noticed a tiny little "search" at the bottom of the page and typed in Leonard Cohen and Lissadell....BINGO! Several archived articles but also the one from the 16th which includes LC in an article about festivals. Good luck!

And yes! see you soon!!

Diana

ps: Frelander, the program sounds like it will be interesting...great album!

Hi Diana

I admit it - I have failed my initiative test here! I'd already searched using the box at the top of the page and I didn't fare any better when I used the search box at the bottom of the page. Maybe it's because I'm stressed (we are due to leave home in an hour or two for the start of the long drive to Croatia and we are running late!!) but anyway I failed. Do you think you could post the link?

Thanks

Ladydi mentioned an article from the 16th July but today is the 17th so maybe it is just not there!

Sharon's link is not the one to today's article. That one must have been in yesterday's paper.

searched a few options and found only the one posted above.
if to judge by Israeli newspapers, printed editions and online editions of the same paper don't always look alike (unless it's in a e-reader format).

If someone manages to find it - be blessed.
If not, maybe someone would like to post a scan, am sure many would be grateful.

Wendy, safe travels. I heart road trippin'.
