Leonard Cohen Cellphone?

Post by peter danielsen »

Why is there not a place where one can recieve Leonard Cohen ringtones for the mobile. The link on the files lead to a place where the song Suzanne and marianne is not availble.

The ringtones were still listed at the end of last year.
I have now removed the link. Maybe not orders enough?
I have "Suzanne" in one of our cellphones.

I must ask Rauli. To me it looks like my cellphohe (one by NOKIA)
has no "forward" option for the ringtones.

Is it just me or does putting a Cohen song on your cellphone greatly cheapen the experience of the song? The great thing about his songs is that you dont hear them being played everywhere you go. Putting him as a ring tone comercializes a man who is not commercial.

I have the Moonlight Sonata and it hasn't cheapened Beethoven. What could?

...there is nothing wrong with commercializing cohens songs. They need to be played over and over. Women need to sing Leonards song when they breastfeed. Cathedrals need to have his words and music chanted from the beautiful longhaired female vocalists. The priests need to let all the love and anger of "book of mercy" pour out from the high alter. We need to have a perfect leonard cohen world. There should be real angels walking the streets dressed out in flags of the unified heart. we must have true nakedness, absolute passion, strange and wonderful sex. Why dont nobody listen, give me the microphone, hand me over the scepter, where are my servants, where is the golden statue, where is my love when I need her most...

Y'know what, Peter? Other than "where is [should be are] my servants," you're absolutely right :D ! I love the way you brought it all together 8) ! Cellphones are just the beginning ~ and the perfect refrain to Curt[?] Cobain/Kurt[?] Cobain.

how about it jarkko, you must be able to talk Leonards record company into promoting his work by giving away free cellphone tones. Think about, a world of on going leonard cohen melodies. This could be the sacrament we were promised.
