My favorite cover: Last Year's Man

Post by Slingertje »

This is the most beautiful and strange song I've ever heard: Last Year's Man. Could not resist and recorded it myself with some friends.

The song is not for sale, just for fun. We have no commercial intentions. It was made for the love of good music for everybody to enjoy. It is an amateur initiative and both the management of Mr. Cohen and Mr Cohen himself are informed.

Let me know what you think of the song
Warm greetings to Cohen lovers all over the world

Hi Slingertje
This is a very fine cover. It underlines the fact that cohens song are so beautiful melodies, and deep and touching lyrics.

The arrangement respect and support the tune. You have a beautiful voice.

Thank you for the video. I have spent much time following the images and threads through this song -- in fact, I remember when i first heard this song 30 some years ago when I was in college. I didn't know the artist. I was at a party or some such gathering, and someone played the song and asked if I could "figure it out." I suppose I've been "figuring it out" on and off ever since. Your piece gave me some new insights and suggested paths of thought I'll explore later today on my lake-side dog walk, wearing a rain coat, hands in pocket, IPod tucked snugly in jacket, headphones on. Me and Cohen, reconstructing the mental images of your video. Thanks.
