Ticket Prices vs Seating ?

Post by creeese »

From what I can tell the prices for all the U.S. shows don't vary much. There are three amounts with the highest being $253. Okay, so does the most expensive ticket guarantee good, ultra-close seating? I'm just not sure where these prices place you, ya know? Like front row of the balcony is a reasonably good seat, but is it automatically the lowest ticket price since it's the balcony? I'd rather sit there than way in the back of the main floor, know what I mean? Back of the main floor could be the middle price, but it's certainly not favorable. I'm specifically referring the Chicago show, and I'm still recovering from the shock that he's actually coming here. Does anyone know how this works? I don't know what to aim for if the $253 tickets sell out too quickly.

I can tell you where my $99 ticket at the Columbia, MD show got me. The location is listed as "MAIN PAVILION SEATING
CENTER SECTION", which looks very good going off the seating chart on the website.

yes, the ticket prices for columbia md (merriweather post pavillion) are outrageous:
$175 each for: PRICE LEVEL 2, MAIN PAVILION SEATING RIGHT CENTER SECTION
And for all that the only delivery option was will call -- ticketmaster did not provide the option for having the tickets delivered through standard mail.

I paid $175+$20.80 (ticketmaster fee) for two seats, price level 2, center section row R
Merriweather Post Pavilion is a great amphitheater, you can see exactly where your seats are here:

Thanks for the seating chart. I just got my $99.50 ticket for Columbia, MD. It's not gonna be the best seat I've ever had, but with things how they are, I just couldn't afford anything higher. I did save money by leaving my husband at home though! I really didn't want to go with anyone if they weren't going to be as crazy excited as I am about seeing Leonard Cohen. I've been to concerts at Merriweather before, The place isn't massive, so I think that any of the seats will be decent. It's a thrill just to be in his presence anyway I suspect. I look forward to all of the upcoming posts and am excited to see if anyone plans a get together for the Columbia show. Love to all.
