Yin and Yang

Post by George.Wright »

Inside all living things, there is an eye
Twixt combinations of light and dark, all under the sky
Duality exists together in a strange and surreal way
It both attracts and repels us, motivates us they say
And that eye sees everything in a very different light
As we all struggle with duality within, a constant fight
It exists in the mighty forces of nature on earth
It exists in all of us, once we are presented at birth
Both forces need each other to energise life and to repel
As we hobble along life's path in this personal hell
Duality can inspire in a strange twist of fate
We all know that Love can co-habit well with Hate
It is both magical and a pinch of the occult
A belief obsessed bitterly with the consequence of the end result
There is however, a balance in all living things
And as our spiritual hunger does learn to yearn and pang
We all learn to accept that there is both yin and yang.

Show me yang.

We've created it here and propagated it forever, now prove it to me.

Bring on our serial killers and psychos, our mass murderers, Satan himself - all the yang you can muster.

Piddle-fit.

We create yin and yang and serial killers and psychos and lonely babies. We create love and people and universes, planets and cosmos, quarks and grains of sand.

We are the Tyrant-killer Creator, we are our own God through our perception, we kill, we make alive, we wound and we heal, and we blame the real God and He says go for it.

And we do a lousy job of it all - especially of blaming God. Thank God for the yang or we wouldn't know that.

Without God we'd never know that yang does not exist - that it's our own creation as God. Our own perception of His Face. Like everything you see around you, the wars and the hospitals, the flowers and bees.

Visualize all living the Sermon on the Mount and you will see the "yang" bubble right to the top and evaporate. Pyschos and serial killers, lonely babies, will exist only in our memories. We won't create them anymore, and we'll heal the ones we've got.

But we all can't live the Sermon on the Mount. Even Gandhi couldn't.

So who the hell told us about a way of life we can't live? What kind of mess was he trying make of us? Jesus H. Christ, we ought to hang that God Jesus told us about.

That God of Jesus who knows won't tell the Tyrant-killer God who doesn't, because the Tyrant-killer God who doesn't know has to learn it for himself or it won't mean anything to him.

So the Tyrant-killer God who doesn't know yet keeps creating serial killers and psychos, havoc and war.

If we know this and keep silent, who is pretending to be the God who knows?

That would be the man or woman who knows but keeps it to himself or herself, trying to be like the God who knows - when all along he's a part of the Tyrant-killer God who doesn't know.

My 59 year-old neighbor can't read, hates rock & roll.

So who is creating the serial killers and pyschos, the lonely babies now? Who is responsible for the havoc and wars?

The guy's playing the REAL God.

Who is withholding the tools of Reason - or the Insight of Enlightenment - or the Knowledge of God if you prefer?

There is a fine line between Spiritual Marines and Spiritual Einzatzgruppen.

Dig the pit, make 'em kneel, POP. Dig the pit, make 'em kneel, POP.

Enough. Do something. Talk. Communicate. Be freaking yanging hypocrites like the rest of us and get humanity advanced that one last step. Wise as serpents but harmless as doves - loud as braying asses.

At this point you are hurting me and my neighbors with your silence, you are prolonging the suffering. The world is ready to hear. Thank God it's all yin.

I believe Jesus as the Truth about God and what God is intending for every one of us. I believe the Sermon on the Mount. I'm doin' my best to live that Sermon on the Mount, you can hardly offend me. I won't hardly ever resist you.

I am proud of my evil and my hypocricy, passed down from generation to generation by my Father to me. I'm proud of Columbus, and of Geronimo too. Satan old buddy, good job!

WE HAVE SET YOU FREE. Now where's the beef?

Casey, the beef is ourselves, you are quite right. Inside us all we are controlled by the forces of Nature, a duality of actions. What can shine one day can flood and drown the next. We can lift our little bibles and babies and shoot Jews in the nape of the neck after lunch. We can purify our minds in religions and put woman and children to the sword. We can collect for charity and line our own pockets, the list is endless....

Good and evil is like the polarity of the battery. Both motivate and both charges our psyche. Most people lie in the middle of the charge. Towards the plus sign are the JC's, Buddahs etc, and towards the minus sign are the Devil, Hitler and the serial killers. We are also heavily influenced by our genetics and our upbringing and our enviroments. This can further skew a person in the middle charge to either the plus or the minus.

Without direction, we usually lean to the easy and the massaging of the ego of most importance, ourselves. We might appear a pillar of society, yet behind closed doors, we live a lie of sexual peversions and gains. A smile may hide a thought of strangling a child the day before. Our actions ,therefore, are even questionable.

Duality both motivates us and repels us. Good can be very good in some people's eyes but evil in others. The balance is to realise the motivators and to actually learn on this planet of unequals. It is only by actually learning from our mistakes, can we progress onwards, in any religions or dogmas. To be a sheep, without thinking, can only lead us to the inevitable slaughter....

We're all sheep because we have evolved minds instilled with an immense longing to love one another and enjoy this gift of life we have.

We have not evolved the marbles it takes to rule the world.

We are all sheep and we all choose the shepherds we follow from the available stock.

I've not met anyone but sheep here, and their shepherd is Leonard Cohen.

Where is Leonard Cohen leading you? Do you even listen to the words of songs like "Sisters of Mercy", "The Stranger", "Heart With No Companion", etc... ?

Does anyone here even hear his words?

No offense meant, but if we're following a philosophy that identifies anything as evil, we're following some philosophical shepherd or other who is attempting to entice us to the inevitable slaughter, whether he be a Pat Robertson Preacher type, or a Leonard Cohen Poet type.

It's better to be a sheep who follows a Poet, but only if that Poet is going to come clean in the end before the slaughterhouse gates are reached.

Leonard Cohen thinks independently, why do you suppose his sheep do not?

Why do you suppose Leonard doesn't share his Source of independent thinking with his sheep?

Perhaps Leonard is getting old... Perhaps he doesn't realize how near the slaughterhouse is... Maybe he's worried about losing a knighthood... Perhaps he's playing a game that he knows he will win, being the only golden-armed dealer left.

Who knows, Leonard won't talk until the Pope or the Queen come kneel before him speaking the cypher of backwardness most people don't have the time to figure out.

So tell me how you think independently and are not a sheep heading to the slaughter Leonard Cohen has been warning you about for over 40 years?

Anybody?

Even as we tumble into the abyss of mass hate and murder done in our name and under our authority (and I mean every one of us living in any "democratic" country anywhere will be held responsible by ourselves for every drop of blood when we understand), we continue to seek the thinking of others that we can agree with...

...In order to avoid thinking for ourselves.

I don't have a golden voice to suck you in... Or golden words... I'm asking questions and making observations you won't answer and refuse to deal with.

I don't want followers, fans, or groupies... I don't want your money (even to give away to the poor), I don't want your genuflecting before me on a stage...

I don't have anything for you to buy or any need for your praise and love.

Which of us thinks independently?

Which of us will never even come close to the slaughterhouse?

You brought it up - think for yourself and figure it out.

There is one Good Shepherd, the one who has Leonard Cohen's balls in a sling too... LOL.

I wonder how long. I'm always wondering how long.

Does Manna have a list? Is Les more? Does Leonard sing to bugs - is that how he sees the rest of us...

Join the independent thinking movement, Georges... You're made for it.

Ask your shepherd...

Casey,
Thanks for the detailed reply. We are all looking for the good shepherd in this vale of tears and hopefully we will all find him. Anyways, you sound a nice person and I appreciate you going to the trouble to write to me.

Hi George,

heres something for you: I am listening to Wynton Marsalis' album 'From the plantation to the penitentiary' and I find this in the liner notes....
We must remember, however, that the blues awaits us all. It never fails to tell us that the ultimate truth is simple while complex: good and evil dance so closely together that they could easily become one–but never do! They simply coexist in perpetuity. The proportions of that coexistence are always left up to us. Those proportions are questioned throughout this recording and something lyrical and soulful is always responding to the sorrows and the difficulties, good dancing with evil while doing its best to step on the feet of the blues.

Hi Kush,
Almost like the dance of Salome, there is indeed good and evil in everything, depending on the motivation and the execution. Blues is indeed a musical expression of the tortured soul.

yes:

cheddar

now if only it were in French.

Not that list. I have cool dreams all the time. They're never not cool anymore actually, which is very cool to me.

This dream was of a cameo brooch that changed, flipping through the embossed versions of the faces of a certain breed of Poets. The last was your profile, with the word "MANNA" at the top like "LIBERTY" on a quarter.

The dreams are cool, the interpretations are my struggle. :-)

cheddar
oeufs
paté
de chocolat
poulet
verts
prunes

Don't know why BabelFish reversed the "pate" stuff and the "chocolate". Must be French syntax.

Just confirming it wasn't that list.

Sheesh.
