All of that is true, Cohen wanted the album to sound more like his following album 'Recent Songs'.
I, however, continue to enjoy the album as it is.

It's the one i like most on "Live Songs", although in truth it wasnt performed before a live audience.
I always thought he said 'Beards', the 'Beer' theory wouldnt have made as much lyical sense, at least not to me anyway.

Thats strange, to me it sounded like he was at peace with himself and the world around him at last.
Isnt it weird how people read into things so differently.

I like 'Morning Glory' the most on 'Dear Heather', its such a brilliant strange song, with Cohens own voice repeating himself in the background.
Another one i like on it is 'There for you'.

I love 'Death of a ladies man', its unique when compared to the rest of Cohens pre 80s work.
My favourate track on it is 'True Love leaves no traces'.
